Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter at WPDE-TV. She worked later as an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and was a crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective police response to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. Additionally, she is co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
